Represented by ZGC Silicon Valley Innovation Center, the Group has set up several ZGC Overseas Innovation Centers in North America like the U.S. and Canada, and in Germany and Israel and etc.ZGC overseas innovation centers have formed an important platform for the Group to distribute global resources and promote international sci-tech innovation, connecting ZGC and overseas frontier sci-tech industries.By the end of 2019, four overseas innovation centers had been set up, including ZGC Silicon Valley Innovation Center, ZGC German Innovation Center, ZGC Boston Innovation Center and ZGC Israel Innovation Center.
1. Silicon Valley Innovation Center
Silicon Valley Innovation Center—the Group’s first overseas innovation center—was officially opened in May 2016. With obvious geographical advantages, the center is located in Santa Clara, the core area of Silicon Valley, and surrounded by well-known universities, enterprises and investment institutions.
The innovation center, covering a business area of nearly 7,000 square meters, has a number of functions, including business incubation and acceleration, office space, conference and exhibition service and so on.
The center takes good advantage of the mode “Innovation center + Innovation Fund” while based on its main business, such as fund investment, property operation, cross-border value-added service and etc. It aims to assist Z-park enterprises’ international development, by guiding and supporting offshore excellent sci-tech innovation elements to industrialize in Zhongguancun, and promoting the strategy of “ZGC capital going abroad and bringing in overseas advanced technology and talents”.
Silicon Valley Innovation Center will make efforts to achieve high-quality innovation-driven development under the framework of “Space + Service + Investment”.
2. Boston Innovation Center
Founded in March 2018 and located in Cambridge, Boston Innovation Center is close to the world’s top universities—Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology—and many of the world’s best scientific research institutions, and a large number of high-tech enterprises, incubators and investment agencies.
Covering a building area of about 6,000 square meters, Boston Innovation Center has an international incubation center, cross-border offices, overseas workstations for domestic customers, a conference center and other functional facilities.
As the core of the innovation ecosystem of ZGC Group and a window for Zhongguancun and Chinese enterprises to show themselves in the eastern United states, Boston Innovation Center and other overseas innovation centers will complement and enhance each other in promoting sci-tech innovation exchanges between China and the U.S.
3. Heidelberg Innovation Center, Germany
Germany Innovation Center, opened in Heidelberg in May 2018, is designed to promote the innovation-driven development of German and Chinese start-ups and firms and facilitate the international cooperation on technology transfer. With a total space of 420 square meters, it provides high-quality office environment and multi-lingual and multi-cultural supportive services.
The Center focuses on incubating and accelerating start-ups and firms in the fields of life science, IT and smart manufacturing, relying on Heidelberg’s technology, talent and government resources, as well as ZGC global innovation network. It also works with business and capital circles to drive the development of new technology and innovation.
Germany Innovation Center provides both German and Chinese startups and firms with offices, exchange, incubation, acceleration, consulting, investment and other value-added services, through offshore innovation centers and workstations, specific project docking, brand promotion, project introduction, international merger and acquisition, collaborative cooperation projects.
It strives to grow into a first-class service provider of China-German sci-tech integration, fulfilling its goals of two-way transformation of sci-tech achievements, technical consultation, policy interpretation, talent docking, incubation of high-quality innovation-driven enterprises.
4. Israel Innovation Center
Israel Innovation Center & Innovation Powerhouse was founded by ZGC Development Group, Israel Infiniti Group and R&F GROUP on July 8, 2019 (Israeli time). The center is adjacent to the new Chinese Embassy in Israel, covering an area of 2,500 square meters. It is designed to promote the innovation-based development of Israeli and Chinese startups and enterprises, as well as the international cooperation on technology transfer.
Israel Innovation Center is committed to incubate and accelerate startups and firms in Israel, based on local innovation resources such science, technology and talents, and ZGC global innovation network. Relying on Smart Match, an AI platform of big data, it provides online and offline two-way connection services for Chinese enterprises to develop business in Israel and for Israeli firms to expand market in China. It also works with businesses and funds to facilitate the development of new technology and innovation.
The center provides firms with a variety of value-added services, such as office space, online and offline business docking, business incubation and acceleration, consulting, training and investment.
