We Won a Lot of Prizes in the Competition of “2021 Makers in Beijing”


On October 19, the 6th Beijing SMEs Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, sponsored by “Maker in China”, and “2021 Makers in Beijing”, an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, concluded successfully in Beijing.    

A total of 4,349 entrants were registered for “2021 Makers in Beijing”, with 90% of projects from high-tech, sophisticated and cutting-edge sectors. Despite the fact that this year’s competition is more intense, many members of and enterprises served by ZGC Development Group have managed to win awards.

ZGC Sci-tech Leasing 

ZGC Sci-tech Leasing has been backing the competition of “Makers in Beijing” since 2019. As a co-organizer, ZGC Sci-tech Leasing won the “Contribution Award for the Competition” this year. 

While actively recruiting participating projects, ZGC Sci-tech Leasing provides an exclusive product called “Maker Leasing 2.0” to further support their innovation and entrepreneurship. The competition entrants can seek funding with R&D equipment, testing instrument, production equipment, as well as patents and other intellectual property rights with high market value as the subject matter of leasing. The maximum amount of financing can be up to 90% of the value of the leased subject matter with favorable interest rates, and the financing term is 1-5 years.

ZGC Sci-tech Financing Guarantee

Similarly, as an old-friend who has supported and co-hosted “Makers in Beijing” for three consecutive years, ZGC Sci-tech Financing Guarantee tailored two service products, "Technology Financing Guarantee” and “Financing Guarantee for Trustworthy Taxpayers” for this competition, and won the “Contribution Award for the Competition”.  

"Technology Financing Guarantee” aims at providing up to 2-million-yuan financing guarantee for sci-tech companies with a certain scale;

“Financing Guarantee for Trustworthy Taxpayers” is designed for sci-tech firms and non-technology firms in non-prohibited industries with good tax records, providing them with financing guarantees of up to 3 million yuan. 

In the future, ZGC Sci-tech Financing Guarantee will continue to provide exclusive credit loans, targeted financing and consulting services together with financial institutions such as the Bank of Beijing, the Postal Savings Bank, the Industrial Bank, ZGC Sci-tech Leasing and other financial service providers. Meanwhile, it will launch a service-tracking toolkit that collects enterprises’ experiences in the contest and their further needs of service, to carry out ongoing publicity and a series of connection between investment and financing.  

E-Chuang Technology 

The Economic Analysis Platform for Regional Industries, a big data platform independently developed by E-Chuang Technology, entered the “Top 10 Products in Software and Information Technology Industries”. 

The Platform is built on the unique technique of industrial knowledge graph, spider web data engineering, digital Lego technology engineering and so on.

Relying on the massive multi-dimensional data accumulated over years, the platform can provide accurate portraits of and deep insights into industrial chains of specific cities or counties or other spatial unit, with no need of any information at the county level.

The platform has organized thousands of experts from national high-end think tanks, financial investment institutions, patent technology platforms, universities and research institutions, talents from various fields, digital solution providers to build a complete digitalization ecosystem that supports local industrial development and foster industrial innovation.

The platform also empowers governments of cities and counties to promote high-quality development, and provide all-round, one-stop, precise service to improve local governments’ capabilities in economic regulation and industrial modernization governance. 

ZGC Western Beijing Development

In this competition, Greatar Technology, a customer of ZGC Wester Beijing Development, won the second prize of the Maker group, the winning prize of ChipOne IC Design Competition, and the outstanding prize of the ASI-Base Special Competition of the Third-generation Semiconductor “Chip” Ecology. 

The optical display module of AR glasses, allowing human eyes see virtual information and the real world simultaneously, has the advantages of light weight, large field angle, wide range for eye movement and strong possibility of mass production.

It is a vital technical bottleneck of AR glasses, accounting for around 40% of the cost of glasses. Thus, it’s also a core technology that Apple, Microsoft and other tech giants are vying for.

China started late in the field of diffractive optical waveguide and its core technology is far behind the international advanced level.

Based on the research achievements of Tsinghua University over more than 20 years, Greatar Technology has mastered and industrialized three core production technologies. It has built a R&D and production base in Huzhou of Zhejiang province, to develop and mass-produce the optical display modular products with independent IP rights. As a result, it filled up the domestic gap, broke the international monopoly, caught up with the advanced technology, and competed for the domestic and overseas markets.

ZGC Frontier Technology

Robot++, a company served by ZGC Frontier Technology, participated in this competition and won the second prize of the enterprise group with its smart aerial robots. 

Robot++ is a technology company engaged in independent R&D of special intelligent robots, and also the first-of-its-kind firm in China to achieve industrialization of aerial working robots. 

After the in-depth exploration of shipbuilding, chemical, energy, bridge, construction and other industries, Robot++ has deeply integrated processing know-how of various industrial with mobile platform for vertical faces, and successfully developed a number aerial working robots for ship rust removal, thermal power generation testing, chemical grinding and so on. It has got more than 230 relevant patents.

The ship de-rusting robot, independently developed by Robot++, has served 20 super-large shipyards and completed de-rusting operation of nearly 200 cargo ships of over 100,000 tons, with more than 500,000 m2 in total, ranking first in the world.

In addition, Beijing IP, as a demonstration platform of SME service, has taken part in the “Makers in Beijing” for three years in a row. As the organizer of preliminary competition this year, Beijing IP has been actively organizing sci-tech firms to participate in the competition and reporting the grand events of the competition since June.   

The competition part of “Makers in Beijing 2021” has come to an end, but the service will continue.
