ZGC Software Park opened a big trans-boundary sci-tech event--“Science and Technology To the North” (STTN).  A series of STTN activities were centering on cutting-edge sci-tech competitions, including two major themes: industrial innovation and vital culture.

The STTN activities included: Zhongguancun Digital Sci-tech Joint Innovation Competition, Zhongguancun Digital Intelligent Economy Innovation and Development Forum, Zhongguancun International Industrial Internet Conference, and the music festival, the e-competitions, the sports season… to create an innovation ecosystem and a feast of science and technology.

As the strategic partner of STTN, the Bank of Communications, together with ZGC Software Park, issued 10.000 red envelopes of digital RMB. This was the first deployment of the digital RMB scenario in the software park, providing a diversified support for the development of enterprises in the park. 

On September 26 and 27, STTN Music Festival sent out hot waves of sound in the cool autumn. Visitors could learn dance steps that are popular on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok) from virtual dancers, and watch the “Juvenile” performed by robots from CloudMinds, a cloud intelligent robot provider.

A number of bands consisting of young employees from tech giants in the Software Park, like Baidu, Sina, Lenovo and Netease, and well-known enterprises in Zhongguancun, such Xiaomi, ByteDance, IQiYi and Zuoyebang, performed with some famous bands. 

The number of e-sports teams increased to 64 this year from 32 of last year, with coverage upgraded from the Science Park to the whole Beijing. This year, the e-competition involved teams from leading enterprises in the Software Park, such as Lenovo, Baidu, Tencent, Kuaishou, ISoftStone, Du Xiaoman, China UnionPay, Hanwant and etc., and teams from tech companies located in the North of ZGC Science City, like Xiaomi, ByteDance, CRTX, Kingsoft Cloud Group and so on; as well as teams from Cuihu Sci-tech Park and Bank of Communications.

Besides the elements of vital culture, STTN activities also focused on cutting-edge technology and high-end industry.  Zhongguancun Digital Sci-tech Joint Innovation Competition――“Fire Up: Super Developer”――united the leading firms，within or outside the Park, in AI and open source areas, and ignited the passion for innovation.

Through a featured incubation pattern, the “Sources of Innovation” Competition cooperated with large companies in the park to try new methods of industrial intelligentization, to empower seed enterprises.

The participating parties of Zhongguancun International Industrial Internet Conference worked to co-build an innovation city of industrial internet.

Zhongguancun Digital Intelligent Economy Innovation and Development Forum further implemented the pilot task of “Sci-tech Innovation China” and provided industrial insight and foresight to facilitate the development of digital intelligent sector.

STTN brought together music, fashion, sports, e-sports and interactive experience, as well as sch-tech resources. STTN used music, sports and art as its link to promote sci-tech innovation, display the life style of innovators in Zhongguancun, and foster a new ecosystem of “Technology +Culture”. 

Going ahead, ZGC Software Park will continue to play its industrial leading role, and to leverage its significant advantages in pooling talents and sci-tech resources.

The Software Park will take STTN as an opportunity to lead new recognitions, start new drivers, innovate business modes, build a new ecosystem, and create new sci-tech innovations engraved with the mark of ZGC Software Park.
