On September 9, at a special session on intellectual property (IP) for companies going global held during the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the Integrated Service Consortium of IP Ecosystem Partners Supporting Enterprises Going Global (the “Consortium” hereinafter) was officially launched. As one of the key outcomes in the IP sector of this year’s CIFTIS, the Consortium was jointly initiated by Beijing Intellectual Property Operations Management Co., Ltd. (“Beijing IP” hereinafter) and Zhongguancun International Holdings Co., Ltd. (“Zhongguancun International” hereinafter), both under ZGC Group. It represents another landmark initiative by ZGC Group to leverage its integrated service capabilities and support companies in pursuing high-quality overseas expansion.
According to the organizers, the Consortium was jointly established by Beijing IP and Zhongguancun International, together with the Z-Park Non-Governmental Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Association, Beijing Changfeng IT Industry Alliance, Thunder Software Technology Co., Ltd., SuperMap Software Co., Ltd., Guosen Securities Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch, and Hua Xia Bank Beijing Branch.
The Consortium is committed to delivering on-the-ground services, standardizing procedures, providing inclusive support, and maintaining regular response mechanisms. It brings together resources spanning enterprises, services, finance, and industry, integrating service resources previously dispersed across investment and financing, legal rights protection, industry practices, and policy communication. These resources are transformed into integrated IP services that are clear, accessible, and practical for enterprises. The Consortium aims to build a one-stop, standardized IP service platform for Beijing-based companies going global, helping enterprises reduce the costs of overseas IP portfolio development and enforcement while proactively addressing cross-border business risks.
The Consortium has also established a dynamic expansion mechanism and will continue to bring in IP service providers, research institutions, financial institutions, legal service providers, industry associations and chambers of commerce, and key companies expanding overseas. This will further expand the range of IP services available to companies going global.
