Recently, the China Association of Construction Enterprise Management (CACEM) issued the Decision on Commending Recipients of the 2024-2026 National Quality Engineering Award. The Tongren Hospital Supporting Project (Parcel 67F1, comprising four sectors including Hotel/Commercial Building No. 1), designed by Beijing Industrial Designing & Researching Institute Co. Ltd. (BIDR) under ZGC GROUP, was granted the National Quality Engineering Award.
Established in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the earliest-established, national-level quality award in China’s engineering construction field, spanning industries and specialties. Each award-winning project must undergo multiple rounds of rigorous assessment, including recommendation and application, on-site re-inspection, expert evaluation, and public disclosure. A total of 400 projects nationwide received the award in the current award cycle.
The Tongren Hospital Supporting Project is located on Parcel 67F1 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, with a total gross floor area of 71,455 square meters. As the provider of concept design, preliminary design, and construction drawing design services, BIDR fully leveraged its professional expertise in the deep integration of industrial research and spatial design, completing the full-chain design work with high standards and stringent requirements. Guided by practical needs, the project connects multiple business formats, enables resource sharing through elevated corridors, and coordinates the functional layout and streamlined organization of the hotel, apartments, and commercial facilities. Featuring a modern, minimalist façade and layered landscaping, it responds to the urban context and applies green, low‑carbon, and prefabricated construction principles, with refined design supporting smart operations and long‑term quality.
