Xinyuan Qingcai Cracks the Problem of Lithium Batteries

Battery performance has become one of the key factors determining the usage time of electronic products after each charge and the driving range of new energy vehicles. Although great expectations are placed on lithium metal batteries, they have long been plagued by technical bottlenecks such as "lithium dendrite growth", "thermal runaway", and "interface instability".

Recently, the team led by Liu Kai, a professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University and the chief scientist of Xinyuan Qingcai Technology (Beijing) Co., LTD. (referred to as "Xinyuan Qingcai"), a company served by ZGC Development Group, published their research result of applying supramolecular chemistry in lithium metal batteries——Supramolecular Chemistry for High-Performance Lithium Metal Batteries—— in the academic journal CCS Chemistry, providing a unified molecular design paradigm and approach to enable lithium metal batteries with high energy density, long life and high safety.

Xinyuan Qingcai was jointly founded by Tsinghua University and China Electricity. It is the sole technological achievements transformation unit of Tsinghua University in the field of supramolecular materials, enjoying a wide reputation in the industry.

Its technical team has gathered top material experts both at home and abroad. Its core technologies cover multiple cutting-edge fields such as new energy materials and high-performance environmental protection materials. Its products are widely used in many key industries such as new energy vehicles, electronics, and green buildings, with broad market prospects.
