South Central Axis International Cultural Science and Technology Park Wins the Silver Award of 2025 AURA Asia Urban Renewal for Its Design

The highly anticipated list of winners of 2025 AURA Asia Urban Renewal Awards was officially announced recently.

The Beijing Institute of Industrial Design Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute"), a subsidiary of ZGC Development Group, stood out among nearly 300 projects submitted by over 150 domestic and foreign units with its outstanding design of the "South Central Axis International Cultural Science and Technology Park" and successfully won the "Silver Award for Urban Renewal Architectural Design".

The "AURA Asia Urban Renewal Award", as a professional competition platform focusing on urban renewal practices and innovative projects, has always selected outstanding works based on strict standards. During the selection process, 27 professional judges conducted a comprehensive assessment of the participating projects from multiple dimensions such as innovation, sustainability, social value, and cultural inheritance, and ultimately determined the recipients of each award.

The fact that the "South Central Axis International Cultural Science and Technology Park" won an award in such a high-standard selection fully proves the exemplary and innovative value of this project in the field of urban renewal.

The South Central-Axis International Cultural Science and Technology Park shoulders the important mission of activating regional cultural vitality and promoting high-quality renewal of urban space. During the design process, the design team of the Institute deeply explored the historical and cultural heritage of the area where the project is located, ingeniously integrating cultural inheritance with modern functional requirements.

The design team puts emphasis on respecting and protecting the original spatial texture of the site. The team enable the project to naturally connect with the historical context of the city through meticulous design to preserve regional cultural memory symbols.

Meanwhile, the designers, in line of the operational demands of contemporary science and technology parks, have optimized the spatial layout, improved supporting facilities, and created a composite space integrating cultural display, technological innovation, and industrial incubation, injecting new vitality into regional economic development and cultural prosperity.
